Headies award: Wizkid, others win at Headies 2022

Nigerian Singers, Olamide, Wizkid, and Adekunle Gold have won individual awards at the ongoing 2022 Headies in Atlanta, United States of America.

It was reported that Nigerian songwriter, Buju BNXN, won the 2022 Headies Next Rated award.

Petrol tanker exploded in Ogun state

A petrol-laden tanker has exploded at the boundary between Olambe and Matogun, in the Ifo Local Government Area of Ogun State. The truck driver was said to have conveyed the petrol to a filling station in the area when he lost control of the vehicle due to the bad road. It was gathered that the truck crashed and the tank fell to the ground, got ruptured and the petrol spilled on the road and into the drainage channel in the area. It was also gathered that a spark occurred as the petrol was spilling and the fire razed shops and buildings in the area. An eyewitness said the fire had caused panic in the community, adding that no fewer than 10 houses had been razed by the fire. Nigeria bowed out of the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup after a 2-0 loss to The Netherlands on Sunday.
